Build something that matters.
PlusEV is a highly selective fellowship for exceptional people building companies that materially improve the world. We don't charge fees. We don't take equity for joining. We actually give you $1,000 cash.
Capital is optional. Ambition isn't.
We don't believe founders should have to sell equity just to access great people. So we built two separate things: a fellowship anyone exceptional can join for free, and a fund that invests in the ones who want capital.
The fellowship selects people. The fund selects investments.
They're explicitly different things. Some fellows won't have a company yet. Others won't need capital at all. Neither is a rejection of the other.
PlusEV Fellows
For exceptional people, with or without a startup idea. We give every fellow a $1,000 grant to start building, and we never take equity simply for joining.
- A $1,000 no-strings grant, just for being accepted
- Open to founders with an idea, or just an area you're obsessed with
- Access to mentors, operators, and scientists who've done it before
- Free calls with experts and virtual programming
- Optional in-person events in SF, Miami, NYC, and Vancouver, on us
- A community of other exceptional founders
PlusEV Portfolio
For founders who want or need capital now. Investment is entirely optional, and separate from whether you're accepted as a fellow.
- $100K–$500K invested directly in a small number of exceptional companies
- Terms are individualized to the company, not a fixed template
- Everything fellows get, plus much more hands-on involvement
- Small in-person retreats, private dinners, and direct founder access
- Help with distribution, recruiting, and fundraising introductions
People solving the world's most consequential problems.
This list isn't exhaustive. It's a starting point. If your work is ambitious and the world is better if it works, we want to hear from you.
Two questions decide everything.
Can this become a $1B+ company?
If it succeeds beyond anyone's expectations, does the world become materially better?

After Stanford, I worked as a quant on Wall Street for two years before quitting to bootstrap OddsJam, a sports data company, without raising venture capital. Three and a half years later, it was acquired for $160M. PlusEV is the same obsession with probability, distribution, and building, pointed at the next generation of founders.
Build something worth betting on.
We back extraordinary founders building companies that matter.
